Ganguly is a great player, says Ponting

Melbourne, December 25:: Hailing Sourav Ganguly as a great player, Australian skipper Ricky Ponting today congratulated the left-hander on the eve of his 100th Test match.
Ganguly will achieve a rare feat of playing in 100 Tests when he takes the field in the Boxing Day match against Australia on Wednesday.
While extending best wishes to Ganguly, Ponting, however, hoped that the home team did well against the former India captain.
"I feel he does not score a hundred. Congratulations to him. He is a great player. He is going to keep the edge. It's a great achievement to play 100 Test matches," Ponting said.
